Here it is: the ESP Custom Shop version of Frank Bello's latest signature bass, the Frank Bello J-4. Frank created this bass to offer a completely modernized vibe on an all-time classic instrument, making it perfect for his fast and precise musical antics while holding down the low end for the iconic thrash metal band Anthrax. Frank's ESP J-4 offers the feel and sound that he relies on both onstage and in the studio. Based on a traditional style, the ESP Frank Bello J-4 uses a comfortable alder body and a smooth bolt-on maple neck at 34" scale. But then, this bass adds features like an ebony fingerboard, high-quality Gotoh tuners and bridge, and a whole world of tone via its set of EMG PX and EMG JX active pickups with red covers. The red accents are extended to the J-4's dot fingerboard inlays as well as body and headstock binding. Made one at a time in the ESP Custom Shop in Japan, the ESP Frank Bello J-4 comes in a killer Black Satin finish, and includes a hard case.
