LOS CABOS DRUMSTICKS
Since 2005, Los Cabos has grown from a small Canadian family business into one of the best-known drumstick brands in North America. Los Cabos has earned a reputation for high quality products by manufacturing their products with the utmost care and attention to detail. Family owned and operated for many years, Larry and Gillian Guay operated a wood turning business, Lawrence Wood Products Ltd.; turning legs for tables and chairs. Then, by chance, a one-time contract opened their eyes to the world that is the music industry. Los Cabos offers three different lines: Maple - a soft wood, this makes the sticks lighter than the hickory varieties and have a slightly stronger rebound. White Hickory - Hickory is one of the most commonly used drumstick woods. Hickory offers a higher density than maple and is slightly heavier and more robust. Red Hickory - is obtained from the core of the hickory tree and is even denser than the white hickory wood and thus offers even greater stability and is therefore somewhat heavier in weight.
