Jake Bowen has a freeform approach to his music and the sounds he wants to create. His newest Ibanez-designed guitar represents a shift from his older dual-humbucker instrument with Titan humbuckers to a double-blade, Strat-style pickup for the neck and a humbucker in the bridge. The Mirage pickups are the next step in that journey. Jake loves DiMarzio's The Chopper™, but he needed a tweak: a pickup that would function the same way in the angled neck position of his new guitar. He wanted a super saturated single coil sound that was a mix between The Cruiser™ and The Chopper™ models.
