5-string bass pickups go vintage with the Area J? 5. Like the original Area J?, the Area J? 5 was designed for warmth, sustain, and a clean, singing tone. The low-pull magnetic field allows the strings to ring clearly and enhances the sound of the low ?B? string. And like all DiMarzio? bass pickups, the Area J? 5 cancels hum. With medium output and a very balanced tone, the Area J? 5 works equally well with passive and active electronics.
